Review:
Mr. Potter (In Alan Rickman voice). We'll this was a terrible waste of time. It was nothing more than Harry Potter (slightly older) & with a kid? Is he even old enough to be playing a guy with a 4 year old kid? It's just him walking around an old dark home with a candle, while vague shadows & images move around in the back ground. It follows the same plot that all late 19th century witch/ghost films follow. Vengeful spirit, lost body or soul, dead children blah blah. This film was nothing at all special. Had every single cliche from the genre specific film. Radcliffe's performance hasn't won me over to the side that he's not a boring as shit actor. Ciaran Hinds is good but nothing special. The film is very dark (poorly lit) but that is the idea. The sets are good but it's not hard to do a dark old fashioned mansion set. Overall it was boring, slow & poorly acted. I hate horror films that feature kids.
