Review:
We'll this one is the most current to date Underworld film & in my opinion the worst one. Were back to modern day with Selene trying to track down Michael while not getting killed by the fact that humans now know that Lycans & Vampires exist & hunt them down to almost extinction. The main problem I have with this is that it just gives off a Resident Evil vibe, it also kind of has a low budget limited release feel as well. The acting isn't as good, the plot isn't as good, the sets & cinematography isn't as good. It is the extension of a film franchise that lost a lot of it's followers & gusto & now they are trying to keep it going. It was mostly filmed in Vancouver & the surrounding area, which is only cool if you live or have been here before because it is filmed largely at Simon Fraser University which is literally 20 minutes from my house. The worst part about this film is that they have small scenes where Selene is interacting with Michael, during the first scenes of the film & then at smaller parts throughout the film you see clips of him. The absolute worst part of this is that it's not actually Scott Speedman, who I guess was obviously so busy with his huge Hollywood success or maybe that his agent was asking for too much money, so he didn't appear. So instead they got a guy who looked enough like Speedman, gave him the same hair & the horribly super imposed Speedman's face onto this guys face. Looked terrible. The supporting cast is majorly lack luster compared to the first three. Overall it was just a lame sequel that didn't really need to get made. Lots of just random action sequence, story was poorly written.
