Review:
Ah a tale as old as time.... we'll until they make a movie about it then your realize that everything you learned about WWII never included any of the "all black" anythings. FINALLY something that i've been saying needs to happen for years finally happened. Cuba Gooding Jr. back into full length big budget cinematic release films. For so long he had only been doing straight to DVD garbage. Cuba, you're so much better than that. Shame that he's nothing more than a character actor, however he gets his name on the cover & second billing. So we've got a great cast of young african american actors who all have really subtle stereotypes in their characters. Some are really good & some are very stupid & annoying. One guy sounds like he's being Chris Rock, another is constantly chewing tabacco & talks out the side of him mouth.OK so even with the leads of Terrence Howard & Cuba Gooding Jr the acting still isn't very good, it's super campy & annoying which really takes away from everything. Shame that Brian Cranston didn't get a larger role, he was really good in his limited role. Visually it was great. The combat scenes were awesome, the best air plane tactical battles i've ever seen. It didn't run too long, didn't drag on, was easy to watch. Overall it was a good war movie with average acting.
