Review:
It really shows that this is Director William Monahan's first film, because it is nothing more than over scripted dialogue, slow moving plot & uneventful moments. Are we suppose to give a fuck about these characters? Care that a famous actress is miserable because she is being hounded by the paparazzi? or for Colin Farrell because he got out of prison & wants to chance his life? We Get It! you use to be a bad ass, everyone was afraid of you, do we seriously need to be constantly reminded of it? And then even when he does get angry & go back to being bad ass, he does NOTHING. He gets David Thewlis to do his dirty work for him. I'm sure most people know my stance on Keira Knightly, just look up any other review I've done on a movie she is in to get your answer. Ray Winstone is always great no matter what he's in, even if it's this. Then you have a woman who I would put in my top 10 sexiest women alive. Anna Friel, whom some may know from Land Of The Lost, Irish babe, incredibly beautiful face just pure natural beauty. Loved every minute of her, even thought she was a supporting character. Overall, nothing special, low budget, too much talking mobster style movie.
