Synopsis:
After two boys duke it out on a playground, the parents of the "victim" invite the parents of the "bully" over to work out their issues. A polite discussion of childrearing soon escalates into verbal warfare, with all four parents revealing their true colors. None of them will escape the carnage.

Review:
In 4 Words: Clever. Witty. Smart. Hilarious.
In more than 4 words. Never has there been a better film with a cast of 4 set entirely inside the confines of a single apartment (and a few brief scenes inside the hallway outside the apartment). The story brings you full circle on the emotional scale for each character as they develop themselves right in front of each others eyes. This is probably John C. Reilly's best pure acting role. He has incredible timing on every single line that he says. He is just the right amount of goofy & witty. Jodie Foster is powerful throughout including an incredible freakout sequence that is almost awkward to watch. Christoph Waltz (who you may have learned from previous reviews, I love) has the ultimate task of being the stern & powerful voice of reason but also of smugness & a little bit of arrogance. Kate Winslet has slowly made her way into MILF-dom. She has aged quite well & become a super hot older woman. She has the untimely task however of being the only one in the room who pukes. It's very funny, but not on the usually gross out, silly, wacky comedy. It's the undertones taken by each character as they are somewhat forced to interact with each other & stay within the same room as they all slowly turn on each other, then turn back then turn again. Probably one of the funniest movie's I have seen in a long time. SEE THIS FILM!!
