Synopsis:
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Review:
Pixar doesn't do anything bad. Nothing wrong at all with this film. It is your typical formulaic Disney production. You got all the similar plot lines, story arcs & emotions that are brought out in every film. Maybe slightly predictable obviously, but I'm not looking too far into it because it's intended for children who can't or don't make the connections. Tons of foreshadowing. Like most Disney movies it even had it's very subtle sexual innuendos. First time directors did a great job, but again you can't do much wrong with a Pixar film. I absolutely love anything & everything that Billy Connolly has done. Great actor, one of the greatest comedians of all time. On the same level of admiration Craig Ferguson has a funny supporting role, as usually always a funny performance from the late night host. A lot of the dialogue was very similar to How To Train Your Dragon (possibly only because it revolved around fictional Scotland) but did take a tiny bit away from it. Overall it was exactly what you would expect from a Pixar movie, it's fun, enjoyable, has some laughs, has some drama. Might make you cry.
