Review:
OK so much like The Grey where I said that if I had reviewed it immediately after seeing it I would have been super gay & all bonery for it & would have given it an A+/50. So after seeing this again in theaters with a more relaxed perspective about everything going on in the film, I feel confident that I can give it a fair review with my boner for it gone. So if you haven't read my first review on this movie, you should go back & do so, just for reference sake. Now I'm assuming that most people who wanted to see this movie have already seen it because it has been out for a while. And if you are waiting for it to come out on DVD/Shaw on Demand etc then I will still not be giving away any spoilers just to keep your interest in it peaked. So being mostly an action/horror film, the major problem with seeing to twice in such close proximity to each other, you expect that it will take away from some of the scare factor & anticipation of something big happening. This is only partially true. Because so much is constantly happening, there was a few things I had already forgotten about in the 3 weeks between seeing it. On the same hand, being partially a comedy, or having some major comedic parts to it & the movie obviously not taking itself too seriously, I did find that the second time around that the acting wasn't actually as good as I had originally thought. Jenkins & Whitford are still incredibly hilarious & awesome, not taking anything away from them. But some of the "kids" are a little underwhelming considering the circumstances of what is happening to them. I also did find it to be a little bit too long the 2nd time, but that might have been because I was waiting for certain cool & funny things to happen, so I was a tiny bit impatient. Overall it was still incredibly funny, innovative & a great horror film, just maybe not as A+/50 as I had originally thought. But you should still SEE THIS FILM!!!!
