Synopsis:

Mavis Gary, a writer of teen literature, returns to her small hometown to relive her glory days and attempt to reclaim her happily married high school sweetheart. When returning home proves more difficult than she thought, Mavis forms an unusual bond with a former classmate who hasn't quite gotten over high school either. 

Review:

Starts off really upbeat & funny. Turns somewhat Dark. Extremely awkward sex scene between Theron & Patton. Patton with his shirt off is not something I can't un-see now. A very non-Hollywood ending (Thanks Scott Henson for that one). Acting was good not great. Story was different. Patton was in early Oscar talk about his role in this but I guess was surpassed towards the end of the year & forgotten about. I thought he did a very good job.
