Into The Abyss (2011):

Starring:
Werner Herzog (Narrator)
Jason Burkett
Michael Perry

Director:
Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man; Rescue Dawn)

Rotten Tomatoes: 90%
Flixster: 77%

Synopsis:
Michael Perry, a man on death row convicted of a triple homicide which occurred in Conroe, Texas, and his accomplice Jason Burkett. Perry was convicted ten years earlier of the murders, apparently committed in order to steal a car for a joyride. Perry's final interviews for the film were recorded on only 8 days before his execution on July 1, 2010. The film also includes interviews with victims' families and law enforcement officers

Review:
The movie is very slow moving as Herzog didn't cut much of the interviews he conducted with the accused, victims families or those involved in the arrests, trial or execution. However if you are able to get past the slow moving dialogue you will see the unbelievable story of evil told from the view of both convicted murders as well as the family members from the effected families. Very powerful stuff.
