Synopsis:
Tom Ludlow is a veteran LAPD cop who finds life difficult to navigate
after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the
execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop
culture he's been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to
question the loyalties of everyone around him.
Review:
It's a pretty generic cop drama full of betrayal, backstabbing, game changing secrets & alcoholism. It's got all of the cop movie cliches from renegade cop with a boozing problem, to stereotype Hispanics, to former partners with a broken relationship. Good cast with several intense performances. Supporting cast very is extremely good including a short lived one by Terry Crews. Reeves is convincing but way to over the top. Whitaker is at times way to silly & sometimes ridiculously goofy. Hugh Laurie is the best part of this film & not just because he is Dr. House, but he's got the right amount of comedy & serious drama which is what he is known for. Some creative, bloody & intense deaths bring a good entertainment value. Overall a typical cop drama, not the worst, not the best just average.
